Question for Yardbird

I was lookin at your P-40B And it looked really familiar so I looked in my new reference book and saw it in the same markings but it said it was a P-40C.
I’m confused. Not tryin to say ur wrong though.

The B and C models of the P-40 were virtually identical and essentially impossible to tell apart just looking at them. Most of the B models were intended for the UK, but quite a few of them got sidetracked for the AVG in China. The green and brown colors were as close as Curtis could come to the Dark Green and Dark Earth of the RAF. Some sources claim the AVG used C models in China, must most agree it was the B. They picked up a few E models in 1942 just before the AVG was disbanded and became part of the regular US Army Air Force.

Thanks that clears it up.
