Question for Omni 3000 users.

I bought a used Omni 3K about a year ago and have had pretty good results with it so far. Well, a cleaning incident bent the needle and it had to be replaced. Easy enough. $5 at the local hobby shop has got me back in business. Question is, When I observe the needle tip while pulling back on the trigger I notice that the needle seems to move to one side and not stay centered. The replacement needle does not seem to be bent (or at least it shouldnt be!). I have heard that the needle should back out of the spray nozzle evenly with no side to side travel whatsoever. Is this correct? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ryan

I’m at work so I can’t take a look at mine, however I would think that the needle should be centered on the nozzle. It could be that the nozzle itself is not properly seated. It seats in a cone-shaped bore on the brush body, but it only takes a little bit of dirt on one side to keep it from seathing properly. Also, since the needle is held from the rear it doesn’t take much of a bend to move the front a few thousandths.

That is perfectly normal and all airbrushes do that to some extent.

Sweet! Thanks Mike and MusicCity. I was worried that I may have bent another needle or something worse. I will finally be able to spray this weekend because of the excellent weather we are having as of late. Your help is most appreciated.
