hi there, i’m doing some research mayby for a new book, with a local store holder about british and american actions in the venray area.
we’ve come across some never published pictures with shermans in it, and i would like to find out everything about them.
is it possible to trace the registration number of the tank (the T number) somewhere on the web, or in a book? an what kind of info does that give me? like manufacturer of unit of delivery?
any help is much apreciated
If you have a specific tank in mind, I wouldn’t be surprised if you posted the number to Tank-net.org and someone there could find the answer. I know I went around any Sherman I could find looking for numbers in order to provide to a chap there who was collecting them all.

with history i mean, places of action, unit’s in wich it served, repairs and so on?
