A friend of mine has a radio controlled Tamiya 1/35th scale Tiger 1 (early version). It came with the rubber tracks, but he’d like something a little more realistic – do you think that Modelkasten Early tracks (SK-2) would be a good idea for this kind of project? I have no experience with Radio Controlled anything and can’t offer advice. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Id go with fruil tracks. They are metal so they will offer alot more durability.
do not use metal track. the small motors will not be able to drive them.
you can get either indy tracks or aftermarket tracks, drill pins holes. and use thin steel wire as pins. then you can have perfect driving look. good luck.
BTW, drilling holes means lots of work.
So…I’m not clear here…what kind of aftermarket or indy tracks are you talking about exactly? Are you saying the ModelKasten tracks would work or not? What type of tracks would you have to drill holes in if not metal? Thanks!
