Question about Photobucket

I have close to 350 images on my photobucket account and have a couple questions:1.Is there a limit as to how many imagines you can have on it?and 2.How can they offer this service for free considering the enormous resources it must take to store so many photos and videos?I know they have some advertising but I doubt that it covers the expense.Any ideas?

For free accounts, there is no limit on the number of images, but there is a limit on the size of the images & the amount of bandwidth consumed. They have more paid accounts than free BTW. I pay the $25 Annual fee for unlimited bandwidth & larger pic file sizes. Many serious photographers pay the higher Pro User fees, but I get by with the $25 package.

Regards, Rick

Wow! I didn’t Know thay had more paid accounts!I guess they will notify me if I have to delete some of my pics. Thanks for the reply!

The free package has a limit of 1GB (about 10,000 photos), and there is a limit on size (1024x768). You are limited to 30 images for slideshows and 5 minutes for video. There’s also restrictions on copyright images and content (no porn), as well as a minimum age (14). And of course, no tech support. Otherwise load up the pics. They make their money through the Pro package and advertising.

If they weren’t making money, they wouldn’t be operational still. Don’t worry about businesses, they’re not worrying about you!

Wow!!10 grand!No worries then!

I’ve often wondered the same about sites such as this one! Here, one can literally go back years researching…and the zillions of pics!

Boggles the mind!
