Good day modelers! I have a quick question. A few months back I picked up a Tamiya 1/48 Mossie (MK.IV) at a swap meet for $5! The kit came factory sealed. The problem is – I have NO idea where to place most of the decals… Inside the box are the main build instructions and a painting guide. That is it. Iv been building since I was a child, but this is my first Tamiya kit. Any help concerning this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Do the instructions not say where to put the decals?
I just looked at the instructions online, and there are no decal placements in the instructions! I’m surprised, because this kit has been out a while.
The box art and knowledge that the markings were standardized on Commonwealth aircraft will help a lot. Check around online for reference photographs and other models of the same aircraft as well.
I do have the same kit, unfortunately it is 3000 miles away. Not much help to get the decal placement instructions photographed and posted for you!

Hmm, no decal placement instructions… Check a different scale or the 1/24 scale Airfix kit for ideas.
The large paint scheme diagram is there to show the camo pattern in full size. Normally, the other color schemes are at the end of the main build instructions. Don’t you have a page which shows the following?
Thank you everyone for your replys! I had no problem with placing the roundels and such – my main concern was all of the miscellaneous warning and such.
