Question about Aber set for Tiger I

Hello,
I’m working on the Tamiya Tiger I early, and had a question about the Aber PE set. There is a part, A1L and R, which is a brass strip with a scalloped edge and rivet marks which fits over the molded plastic scalloped strip just above where the wheels attach to the hull, in the corner between the horizontal and vertical surface, at a right angle to the existing scalloped molded strip (I think). The instructions indicate “PRS” for that part, indicating that some sort of press lines are necessary–essentially, scribing with a blunt instrument to make a linear depression, or so it would seem…but I cannot tell from the instructions exactly what is to be scribed. Can anyone with experience with the Aber Tiger I set help me? Thanks!

Rory

I don’t have the set so this is only a guess: Could it be that ABER is suggesting that you emboss rivets? The scalloped piece was bolted on by rivets.

It appears that rivet indentations are already embossed…

Hmmm…

Thats the “backside” of the brass you are looking at if you see indends… are you using the correct side ???

It appears from the little sketch in the instructions that the “L” in the drawing actually matches the “R” brass strip, and vice versa. I glued them in place to the horizontal surface, flush into the corner, and at a right angle to the existing mosded scalloped strip (I wish I knew what to call it exactly). That is what the instructions seem to indicate.
