Tamiya’s Matilda II (newer release) painted with Floquil and MM enamels.

Sweet job on the Caunter scheme G. That is one that would scare the bejeebies out of me.

I bought this when it first came out and let it sit until my AB skills improved. I watched other’s build and paint the kit, then dove in and went at it. I like what I accomplished so far.

What color did you use for the blue-grey part?

The colors are as follows:
Floquil “Mud” straight from the bottle for the Portland Stone.
Floquil “CSW Green” and “Pullman Green” 50-50 for the Slate.
and for Constructor:
Floquil “Reefer White” 60% “Depot Olive” 40% and a dash of “Grimy Black” for the Silver Grey.
It is a light green gray as was the original color. There is no use of any lt. blue in the official Caunter camo scheme.
If I do it again I will go heavier on the Pullman Green for the slate, and add a dash more straight black to the silver gray.

Tape and my standby, Silly Putty, were put to good use on this one for sure. It also required some thought regarding the build process what with all the running gear hidden behind those flanks.

The camo pattern appears more daunting that it really was. Careful planning, patience and tape, lots of tape, will see you through. Did I mention tape? You will need lots of tape.
