I’d like to know where I can get a good hole punch for small holes. I can’t seem to think of the really good one I saw some timw ago. Thanks for all your help.
Either from Waldron or from Historex Agents…
what are punch and die sets for?
A punch is for puncing a hole thru some material. A standard paper punch is a common example. The Die is the part with a hole in it that the phunch goes into after going thru the material.
A paper punch has the punch and the die mounted on opposite sides of the handle set… you can see the punch going into the die.
But that produccess only one size of hole. In most punch and die sets, the dies are in a plate like an anvil… sometimes all the die holes are in the same plate. Then there is a variety of punches to fit the variety of dies.
It is used not only for making precise holes in plastic etc… but also for punching out various sizes of small disks that can be used for detailing.
Oh, sorry!
I thought this was a post about one of Bruce Lee’s mystical Jeet Kun Do techniques!
Has anyone mentioned sticker shock when he goes to get a set??
Yes, I’ve noticed they are quite the pricey item. Like a hundred bucks or more!
No idea why they are so expensive, but that’s why I don’t have a set.
I reckon ya gotta pay the piper for perfect circles!
Waldron has two different sets one is around $60-$70 USD and the other is close to $100.00. I want one bad, but will have to wait for a while.
