Van, I’m always glad to see a bit of modelling connected to Poland in some way. The model looks good, too.
The Łoś (pronounced almost like “wash”) is a very special aircraft for most polish modellers older than 25 years - for many people it was the first kit they built, the reason being you practically couldn’t get plastic model kits other than those polish made aircraft before 1989 in Poland.
And the Łoś is also connected to Canada - many engineers working on this machine went to Canada after WWII was over and worked, for example, on the Avro CF-105 Arrow.

Simply marvelous, Van! I have this kit, and the Part exterior PE- and very little information about the aircraft. What other accessories did you use? Your build is a real inspiration, to say the least! The slats look like a real pain, but are fantastic- worth the effort.

For those who plan to build one (this aircraft is also waiting on my workbench [:)] ) I just got a nice reference book, more than 500 pages including English translation of some crucial facts. A lot of pictures. A book written by a team of historians among them Mr Andrzej Glass (PhD), T.J. Kopanski J.B.Cynk …

It took me a year to finish this model with short brakes for couple other models…
The problem with this model is : some part don’t fit and there is a lot of sending etc…
Here for egz the two half of fuselage have different opening shape for the rear gunner. I used piece of frame from PE to make the two sides the same…

Here I cut out this part and worked out stead of using resin parts 
ALSO i cut this in half worked around: 
TAIL also has been modified: 
Adding details around engine: 
The landing gear where wrong on the kit. i maked my own sort of…base on photos: 
OIL RADIATORS PE parts… I make a jig to put all the small ribs inside and glue them all at the same time… 
THE SLATS are cut out and the gaps are filled with miliput…than sanded, sanded, and more sanded…to shape… 
The large bomb bay has been opened for the 2 300 kg bombs Inside the bay i used corrugated aluminum. That’s what they use originally inside the plane. 
For the bay door i used tank fenders, bend and cut the fenders to the size and shape… 
Playing with PE parts: 
In painting i had done everything: pre shading, post shading…painting…a lot of experimentation with paint…Agama, Vallejo, Master M…etc. In general this model was a big step ahead in modeling for me… Still want to do PZL 11, PZL 24(Greek), PZl 23 “So many models so little time”

First model I build was a LWS CZAPLA from “RUCH” in…'70s I have one in my drawer…with complete PE set for it

I like the jig for a radiator.[:)] I did not catch: what PE set did you use ?? I will keep these for a reference while building my kit (hopefully soon )

Nice job. It kind of resembles the B-25 a little bit.
Some more photos from WIP…If someone want to make the Oil Coolers from PE parts will also need to do a small modification under both wings. The coolers are flat and they should sits under wing flat …as on the original photo(last one). Here are 4 photos step by step to make the coolers sits flat…
On right original Mirages …Oil Cooler [bnghead] …on left already sanded out but the wing still around…
The wing edge is around and the cooler edges are up in air…
Wing edges are sanded down straight flat and now coolers can be placed flat…similar to the original photo

Very nice build and I appreciate the WIP photos too. I tried this kit a few years back when Squadron first got them. Did not have any luck with it and found it quite frustrating. Needless to say it never got finished and I don’t remember what I did with it. It is nice to see one complete, great job.
