“7 year old weekend project” !! You’ve got me rolling Johan!! [:D][:D]

Still, its coming along…but do you really have to add the bolts to the gear housing??

Now thats a long weekend. Looks nicethough. Is this a Tamiya kit.

Seven year sounds like one of my projects… [*-)]

Nice work so far!

Hello Bufflehead,
Glad to bring a smile on your face

Yes they do give you the bolts separate, actually I thing they are greas fillers.

Its been on the shelf since I could not make up my mind about getting an aftermarket barrell for it. Today I cant understand why that held me back from getting on with the build…I guess you live and learn

Hi Bish,
You can find my attempt at the Tamiya Pz II undder this link:

This is the Tasca 1/24. Size comparsion here below:

Meanwhile I have lost so many parts that I will need to do a bit of scratching to get on with the build, among others I have lost all of one side off the periscopes.
Just hoping that it is the outer side that I still have :expressionless:
Will do some paintwork before I assembe the cupola so that is WIP right now.

Hi Gamera,
Thanks for your kind comment!

Very Best Regards
Johan

Hi,
Summer holidays are almost over and I am back from 10 days in Portugal.

Moving ahead with the assembly of the commanders cupola when I realize that I have lost the outer side of the persicopes.
Unfortunately the inner part is a 1.5 mm to hight to make a replacement.
It might not be visible in the picture but the periscope is protruding over the brackets that are supporting the ring later:

I will not let this stop me at this time, but the parts do look tricky to scratch.
Clear part, triangle shape with one square corner and sides 1,5*1,5 as in the picture above - any ideas anyone?

I am also writing to info@asukamodel.com to see if they can help out with replacement parts.

Best Regards
Johan

I didn’t know Tasca done kits in this scale, its a fair old size. Thanks for the info.

Sorry i can’t help with the clear parts, hopefully somone will have an idea.
