Does the German Pz.Kpfw.IV and Pz.Kpfw.III tanks have a nickname like the Tiger and Panther do?

some of the variants based on the panzer III/IV chassis used nicknames,such as Hummel/Bumblebee,Hornisse/Hornet,Nashorn/Rhinoceros.bout all that comes to mind right now.[bnghead]

The short answer is “no”. The Pzkpfw III and IV were never assigned any type of official nickname. That practice started long after they were already in production and they were never retroactively granted any kind of name/designation. They were always referred to by their Sdkfz # and/or the Pzkpfw class and associated Ausf.
