Can anyone provide information about this kit?
Is $ 60 to high a price?

Whoa! I paid $36 for mine at the IPMS National convention last year. Great Models is selling them for $34.80 (not including S&H). I have seen them at hobby shops for about $45, but $60 seems really high.

I am acctually less worried about the price tag then the quality of the kit.
We have to dig deeper in Europe, we usually pay more the you US guys.
We can get them from any www vendor for sure but when shipping is included, it still adds up.
But: was it worth your 34.80?
Is it a good kit?

Sorry Uto, I haven’t built the kit yet! I’ve opened the box and inspected all the parts…it looks fantastic! I’ve read that there are some minor issues with the kit, notably the fenders. Here’s a review http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6290.html
I haven’t read any comparisons between this kit and the Tristar kits which are highly regarded. This Dragon kit does come with a full interior for the fighting compartment, but not the engine compartment. From what I’ve read, Dragon’s Magic Tracks are usually considered better than Tristar’s. I’ve built one of Dragon’s Smart Kits and they are really nice!
As far as I’m concerned you can’t go wrong with either this kit or a Tristar 38(t). Quality and detail are much better than the old Italeri or Maquette kits.

Part of the reason that the kit is relatively cheap here is the US dollar isn’t worth squat anymore. Takes 2 dollars to make a Euro.

Darn! I’m envious Uto! I’ve had mine for 7 months and probably won’t get to it for another couple of months! I hope you build yours sooner and show us how it looks when done! Good luck and happy building!!
I bought this kit as a Christmas present for my dad. I’m trying to convert him to the dark side. He’s a propeller head.
I’ve looked it over and it looks great. The interior looks really nice. The quality looks to be up to Dragon’s usual standard.
