Putty?

I’ve got the Squadron White, but what is the difference between it and the Green? I’ve also seen what appears to be a Red or Brown putty used in some of the photos on this forum.[%-)]

the white putty has a finer grain to it, the red or brown is probably Bondo, a lacquer based putty that can be picked up in automotive stores

There are a variety of filling techniques you can use. Some modelers really like 3M acryl blue, which I feel is the best of the laquer based putties. My personal preference is for catalyzed body putty, which is a two part mixture that fires off very quickly and can be sanded in minutes. As a bonus, when cured it is much stronger than laquer putties, so it holds edges better. I created a small web page on how to use this product, which is available through automotive paint stores - one popular brand is Evercoat, but there are others.

I prefer to use Model Master putty which is red. It gives you plenty of working time, but still dries in 30 minutes. It is also see where you are putting it.

The Model Master putty is probably what I’ve seen more of on this forum. Thanks for the help.
