Putty question

Just a quick question rearding putty. I ran out of my squadron white putty last night so I went to the LHS on my lunch break to get more but all they had was the green. I have never used the green and was wondering if there is any big difference I should be aware of? I bought some because I needed it bad. I ordered some white from squadron direct but it will take a few days and I want to finish some seams on my 1/24 huey tonight. Any tips on the green or use just like the white?

Use it same as the white. I don’t think there is much difference between the two. The white may be a slightly finer grain and the green may dry slightly harder, in my experience, but essentially the same for all practical purposes.

Ditto. the white may be harder to see, depending on the color of the plastic.

If you haven’t primed after using the white, you may have to prime after using the green, just to hide the color and get even coloration throughout the kit.

You can obtain the green putty from any auto body supply house. They use it in the industry to fill in small dings and dents. It drys quickly and you can sand it etc.
