Yeah, I know, Tigerman and another GB idea. At least they aid my getting something done. I thought it over and others were initially interested, so any takers? I’m seeing plenty of Soviet armor: T-34’s KV’s, SP-guns. For the Germans: Panthers, Tigers, Pz IIIs, Pz IVs, Brummbars, Ferdinands, etc. Thought of kicking it off July 5th, the first day of battle. I’m leaning to my Trump KV I or Dragon Brummbar. Plenty of time to get things together.
Trying to think what I have in my currant stash that this would maybe motivate me to complete. Think All I have that may have been there is one of Dragon’s Marder IIs. If i remember right there were a handful of marders. Anyone correct me on this?
I believe there was. They served throughout most of the war.
I’ve got a Dragon T-34 sitting in the stash just waiting for a GB to happen…might need some assistance from the resident experts for historic accuracy…
Just as long as it isn’t a T-34/85. [;)]
Ho ho, you know I’m in for this one. Should have my Italeri GB 2 entry finished by the 5th of July…I hope![swg] Not sure what kit(s) yet but I’ll get to that.
Funny you should mention that…no, it’s a T-34/76, model 1941. My problem is finding resources to confirm that there were model 41’s @ Kursk and individual markings (and aftermarket availability).
Any input from the resident experts is welcome.
I will have to scale down alot, but the dio below is the Kursk buildup via the DR. The s.SP. trains are for a seperate dio
MarkDunck…that is friggin COOL looking [8D]…is that 1/72 ?
Even though I’m up to my eyeballs in GBs, there is no way I would be able to pass this one up. Count me in!

I would say almost definitely in Kursk.
There is a Tiger I scheme from the Das Reich at Kursk that I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. When you’re ready to get a roster going, put me down for a 1/35 Tamiya Tiger I in “Das Reich” markings. [8D]
My Dragon Brummbar won’t work, it’s a Late version w/steel wheels. I’m going with the KV. Might have to get some transfers and Migs for this one.
Don’t forget halftracks and arty.
This looks like an interesting build, and I think I’d like to try it. Got a few armor kits sitting around and this would motivate me to get started on one. Now here’s where my armor ignorance comes into play. I know that my T34-85 is out, probably along with my Marder III, Panther G, and Panzer IV H. That leaves me an early Tiger I, a Flak 88, or a Kubelwagon. Any chance that one of those qualify, or do I need to hit the LHS (not that I would really mind [;)] )?
well i’ll deffinatly be in eric. not sure what i’ll do as i don’t have a “stash” like you other lucky modelers here. i’ll have to ask momma for some extra spending money this month. count me in, but i won’t buy a kit until later on next week.
I would so be in!!!
If I didn’t have to move [:(]

Nope it’s 1/35th. I will have a set up of 4 foot X 24 feet when all is said and done.
Mark
Cool then I’ll use this as inspiration to do the Marder II. Since I got back into modeling a couple monthes ago I’v still yet to finish one 100%. Keep redoing same ones to work techniques. This should help!

All three should qualify. Depends which Marder III you have. The Russian 76mm? yeah, you need a Panther D and a Panzer IV G or less.
If anyone has a good reference of vehicles, by all means please share. Katyusha (Stalin Organ) would be another great Russian vehicle. Italeri makes one.
Been sorting thru various web sites for pics of T-34/76’s @ Kursk and finding a couple with winter white wash still applied-is this realistic for a July time frame? If so, it makes my task of finding valid turret numbers/markings easier…[:-^]
