Looking for a punch to make about 1.5mm buttons out of copper. I’m posting this for a friend…so I don’t know the gauge of copper he’s using…certainly can’t be very thick.
I’m going to suggest plastic rivets to him…but he mght be set on copper.

A company that makes hold and fold tools is just releasing a metal punch tool “the nutter”. It may be what your friend is looking for. Click here for the site. Warning: it may be expensive.
On the old end of things, the standard punch and die sets will punch thin ( up to .005) metal. Although I think it would dull them after a while. I think[%-)] Roll models is taking over the waldron line (no quotes on that, please).

Edit: I should have looked at the site first. It’s not on there yet. I saw a pre-production model in the spring and they were to be out by now. I will post it, if I find a site that has it.
