I’ve noticed that a few people are posting threads with the subject “a beginner question” or something similar.
You will get help quicker if you actually ask the question in the subject.
Subject: “How do I strip paint?”
Message: I have an old plastic model that is painting with enamels and I need to strip the paint, etc, etc.
That way, people who know the answer (or have the same question) can easily find your post and respond.

I would like to add, please be as descriptive as possible with your subjects. Imagine if everyone used a subject of “I have a question” everytime they posted a question. Try to stay away from one word subjects. A subject of “Painting” is a bit vague. I mean, it narrows it down to painting of course, but what about it? Is it a question about technique, brushes, brands, removing, stripping, cleanup, etc.
Another piece of advice in regards to using the phrase “beginner question” in the subject is simply this - don’t do it. I mean really, you might think it’s a “beginner” question, one that only a beginner would ask. In reality the question might be one that anyone would ask, from the day 1 beginner to the 20 year veteran. Things have changed and even veterans learn new things. If you have a question, just ask. And remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
I agree with Bayonet Recon. I have been buidling models for 22 years, but only recently learned how to use an airbrush, and how to fill seams using super glue and accelerator. besides, there are always new innovations in modeling. Resin being one of them. That is maybe 15 years old. The use of Future was introduced in Finescale Modeler just about 5 years ago. Metalizers are another recent addition. My point is that it may seem ,like that this is onld hat, but it might not be. so just ask a question. there are probably a lot of us who are wanting to know to.
