That is correct - I come from a long line of nerds. My nerd-dom has a rich and colorful history.

Congrats to him! If I have kids, I’m so dragging encouraging them to the hobby.
Both my father and one of my step-fathers built models as kids, though neither continued on with the hobby. Both of them, particularly my step father encouraged me into the hobby as a child.
You should be very proud of your grandfather for continuing his love of modeling. I have every issue of Fine Scale Modeler and I don’t ever recall a grandson and grandfather being featured in the Reader Gallery. I believe it’s a first. Kudos to both of you.
