Projectile colors

Here’s an easy one. I’v exhausted search etc. etc. with no luck. I know in my day the ammo was color coded.
Black for Heat and SABOT
OD for HP
Grey for WP
I’m doing an M10 Wolverine and about to put in the Ammo. But don’t know what colors to use on the projectiles! THANKS IN ADVANCE

Well guess it wasn’t as easy as I thought. Looking at the ammo closely I see one has a point detinator - That would be HE - paint it OD
The other has none I would assume that to be AT - paint it black

Sound Right?

Projectile colors?

I guess that depends on the last meal.

The US used color to code the type of round.
Black denotes a service (live) round like a Sabot round or solid shot
OD denotes an explosive round like an HE or HEP round
Sea foam green was an incendiary round (like white phospherous)
Yellow denotes a chemical round, usually a band around an OD HE round
Blue was a training round

Thanks That I alredy knew, was just trying to figure out WWII stuff. I’ll go with my original plan of some black the others OD.
Thanks all Ken
