Progress pic of Tamiya's Fw190A-3

Hello all,

Thought I would post a pic of Tamiya’s 1/72 Fw190A-3 that I’m building as a quick OOB build. After a couple of bigger projects its a nice way to relax! I’m going to use my Aeromaster decal set for “Early Butcher Birds” to do Josef “Pips” Priller’s aircraft at Belgium in June 1942. Scheme will be 74/75 over 76.

Happy Modeling!

Looking good Joe!
I’m doing the same exact kit also. And in the same scheme(What are the odds?).
Post some pictures when it’s finished! Best of Luck.

Thats great…brilliant minds think alike you know…

Coming along very nicely. I have the kit but haven’t built it. The closed doors molded over the wheel bay openings put me off just a bit. Still, a very nice kit and the only -3 in 1/72 as far as I know.

It would have been nice if they gave one the choice of door positions…but as far as I can tell from most photos of the 190A-3/4, closed is the normal postion for these doors on the ground. The rest of the kit is very well done though and construction is a breeze…just what I was looking for on this build.

Good job on the detailing!
I can see little seat belts and brake lines on the gear struts.
