Resin cowling flaps, engines and cowlings now fitted to the subject.
Resin elevators and rudder, also note the trailing navigation light has been fitter along with the formation light that is missing of this wing from the kit.
After removing the kit elevator’s and replacing then with resin, the stabalizer had a 0.25 plasticard wall added which serves two purposes, one as a substitute for loss of plastic when using the alfa cutter. The other as a filler wall, as the elevators are mounted in the down position, as with most aircraft with hydrolic bleeds.
As with the previous post on this bird, I chose to convert and modify the Mk VI night fighter, as this also shows the resin parts that have been added to a better advantage.
It’s looking good Rob. Is this one going to be a Mk.21? I’m still only working on the cockpit of mine because I got an Aires resin set and am still trying to get it to fit. Keep posting progress I’m interested to see how she turns out.
Looks good, you are really putting the work into this one. I’ve been reading up recently about the ANZAC Beau’s and their devastating contribution to destroying the Japanese forces around Rabaul and Wewak. I can’t wait to see this finished project…
