Problem Airbrushing - Spitting Primer

I am currently preparing to airbrush a 1/48 B17. I have a simple Pasche aircompressor. I am airbrushing acrylic model master primer. I set up my single action Pasche airbrush and slightly thinned the primer. It has been fairly cool here in AZ with temps of 53 degrees. My problem was that the paint was spitting and I could not get any control or consistent spray no matter what air pressure I used. I tried cleaning the needle and changed out paint with no luck. Is this related to a problem with the Temperature, Airbrush, Compressor or Paint? Any help or ideas would be great. I am at a stand still until I can figure this issue out.

Thanks.

What did you thin the primer with?

Two things I would check…paint thin enough and is your airbrush clean. Tear it down and give it a good cleaning.

I used Model Master acrylic thinner. I will tear it down and clean throughly. Thanks guys.
