Primed?

I am building a panther turret into a street fortification called a pantherturm or ostwallturm. It is made from a later Panther, probably built in 1944 or 1945. What color would the underlying primer be? Oxide red or grey? Other?

Pretty sure oxide-red.

But, the primer on the gun barrel would be a dark gray.
