PhoenixG’s SW critters reminded me of these I’d done about a year ago. I thought about posting them then and then forgot about them.
They’re 32mm wargaming figures, aka a six foot tall / 180cm guy would be 32mm. A Predator is a bit bigger than a human - about seven feet / two metres plus. So the figures are about a inch and half / four cms tall.
I just keep scrolling through them to stare at them in wonder. Something for me to aspire to. The ground cover really brings them to life.
I’ve bumped up the priority of those materials on my wish list. I admit that I already blew this month’s budget for modeling or I would be placing orders now. Any suppliers/brands you would recommend for things like scale gravel and grass?
Thanks! The groundwork is just model railroad ballast and the grass Woodland Scenics static grass. Nothing special- it was on hand so I used it. Probably cost me about ten-fifteen bucks for a lifetime supply.
The painting was just an Optivisor and a tiny little brush. No real skill just patience and doing a little bit at a time.
The armour I painted a darker metallic- steel I think and then dry-brushed it with a lighter metallic- silver or aluminum as best I remember.
You did a terrific job on those figures. You put so much detail in a small space. I’ve seen them at my gaming store, and they aren’t large. Thanks for posting.
