Anyone know of a 1/72 or 1/48 scale kit of the Hawker Fury or Hawker Hart? I’ve always thought they were really beautiful aircraft. Both were produced in the 30’s- sleek, polished aluminum biplanes.
There have been a few kits of the Fury, but I don’t recall any for the Hart. They are all pretty old kits & may be hard to find. There may be a Hart kit somewhere, but I can’t think of one off-hand. The Fury is one of my favorite pre-war aircraft. I keep hoping a modern tooled one will be released, but it’s not a popular era with kit manufacturers.

this is no help really but if your really into pre-war
squadron has a nice hawker nimrod
smooth looking aircraft
And this is no help at all, but I wondered which war you were asking about! [:)]
There are a fair number of us who build WW I models, so before the war is before 1914. The stuff you’re looking for we refer to as “golden age” aircraft, or “between-the-wars.” [:D]
In my opinion, this era needs more kits.

Don’t know about 1/48.
Yes! Thank you!
LOL- good point!
Those were some great looking aircraft during that period. I especially like the American and British aircraft. They were always so colorful.
You might try Aero Club at http://www.aeroclub-models.com/
I know they did a lot of the 'tween wars British stuff, in 1/72 I believe …

Czechmaster have a lot of pre-war British stuff in 1/72 scale. A quick trawl through Hannants website brought up some interesting bits such as the Gamecock and Waipiti. Another manufacturer is Dujin, again, a trawl through Hannants brought up more interwar stuff, like a Fox. I’m sure others also do stuff, but those two reguarly appear in the modelling press.
How about an Avro Anson 1 . I did not even know such a plane existed until I got an old airfix 1/72 model of one in a lot of models that I bought. I open up the box and fot its age it looks quite buildable. I have about twenty old airfix kits . Some of them are pretty awful and some are not to bas fot fourty year old kits.
Soulcrusher
Airfix produced an excellent 1/48 Fury I have built a few in my time, OOP now but can still be found on e-bay
