Hey Harv,

Looking great so far my friend… What type of Blue mask did you use?? Yea know, that is one type of pre shading that I have not tried yet…!!

Waiting patiently to see how your pre shading turns out… Can’t wait to see her all painted up…!!

Thank you for sharing and it is really nice to see you building once again…!!

Flaps up,

Mike

Thanks so much Mike. The blue mask is just blue paiters tap. Low stick. The canopy is EDUARD mask, filled in with the painters tape. Yea I was scarred sh**less doing this. Was affraid of spilling the cup. But I was really impressed with the AB. First time tring it!! You know this is just training for the GB (allthough expensive training)…Harv

Looking good dirtball! Nice thing about preshading- if it’s not perfect who cares? The colors will cover most of it anyway. Is that the Trumpy 1/32 kit?

Thanks Frank. Yes, the TRUMP 105 with all the bells & wistles AM.First build back and I jumped in with both feet and both arms!! Quite an experiance I might add. But a great kit…Harv

Looks good Harv. I’m not a fan of pre-shading, but may try it again some day.

Regards, Rick

Man, you don’t mess around! Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see what you do with the Corsair! [tup]

Well I managed to squeez in on more session. Put some tan on. Hope you all like it…Harv

How do you keep the debris off the finish painting on the sidewalk like that?

It was done on my patio. No wind and the sun is warming up. Plus the paint dries pritty fast. Luckily no probs, so far…Harv

Got some green on. Looking at it, I have LOTS of touch up to do. Still have the dark green to do. Havent got to the nose yet, have some more sanding to do there. All coments welcome…Harv

Outstanding work there! Keep those pics coming. [tup]

When doing a complex three-tone acmo scheme like this, I will postshade, rather than preshade. Reason being, the preshading often gets diluted near the demarcation lines, because of the overlapping colors. You’ll notice that as you add the 2nd and third colors. But yours is looking pretty good from the pics.

Habu, after all the painting and decaling is done, I do plan on doing some post shading and just plain dirting her up. There are several things I want to try out…Harv

Rgr that, looking forward to the pics!

I`m taking some time off the Corsair GB to get more work done on the 105. God knows I need to finish it! But today I did the landing gear and doors . Start on the weapons tommoro. Will post some pics…Harv

nice looking Harv, Chief…err, i mean Thunderchief, Harv![;)] Keep it fun…this is gonna be a looker when you’re done!

Nice work on the big Thud. Did you use all of those Cutting Edge resin am parts? How much difference is there between them and the kit parts?

Darwin, O.F. [alien]

Great looking build, and yes the preshading does show. and you got the trick of only applied one coat of paint at a not, not over the other.

Keep up the good work.

Darwin, accualy the only cutting edge piece I used was their center line MER. It was a kit in its self! about 25 pieces. Other than LOTS of PE (BIG ED set),the basic model is OOB. I would of loved to use alot of CE stuff, but being my first build in 25yrs, I was WAY to timmid to try it. This was hard enough!!..Harv
