Pre-carpal tunnel build

Howdy!

I’m in the middle of carpal tunnel surgeries, so before the first one, I thought I’d quick build this Tamiya 1/48 -2 Zero. I goofed up when gluing the wings on and ended up messing up the dihedral, otherwise, I enjoyed building it. I didn’t take a pic, but I painted the gear bays to simulate the coating they used (reminds me of anodized aluminum) by mixing my blue in with aluminum paint. Not an exact duplication, but tlar (that looked about right) to me. I slathered the paint on the canopy for the time being, I’m picking up a mask for the open canopy option later.

great job, you cut the radio antenna too I see, I built the same one about 10 years ago and was surprised to see that callout on the instruction sheet for saburo sakai’s plane. hope your surgery goes well

Thank you, sir! Actually, the antenna is missing for the moment until I get the other canopy painted, and I was surprised as well about the direction for his a/c, but plan to duplicate it.

I think it’s a great model! The cockpit work is very nice!
