Posting Pictures

Hey All,

What is the best way/method for posting pictures in my Forum Posts and Discussions?

Thanks for any and all help in this area.

Jake

you nee a hosting site. One a lot of people use is photobucket, but there are others. Rather than try and explain the whole process, have a look through this. PB has changed a little since this was written and the link on here is a different one.

Start an account at a photo-hosting site; I use Photobucket. Then, upload your pics that you’ve saved to your computer. After they are uploaded, you’ll see the thumbnail pics.

Move your cursor over the pic and you’ll see a little gear symbol in the upper-right corner. A drop down menu appears and you choose “get links”. Another window will open with several choices for you. You want to click on the one that says “IMG codes”. Once you do, it will show “copied”. Now, go to the post that you’ve started here and simply “paste” the code.

Your pic should show there when you post your comments with the blue “Post” button.

I hope that helps!

Thanks for the advice so far.

Here goes nothing!

That does not look like a valid URL. That may be a Flicker-unique address. You need a web address.

And, rather than pasting the address into the message, it works better to insert it directly as a link. To do this, you must make your forum post in “rich formatting”, using link at bottom of the message window. In the row of icons along the top are two that look like photo film, a single frame and a movie strip (multiple frames). Click on the one that is the single frame. A window will pop up, and either paste or type the address in that window and click OK.

Don is correct, but the method that I posted doesn’t require those steps. I find it much more user friendly. I have posted many dozens of pictures without those “steps”. Good luck with whatever you use!

Well let’s try this then.

Thanks for all of your advice, just trying to take it in and try things out.
