Unfortunately I only build planes, so my best paint job doesn’t qualify. [:$]
That paint looks wet! You should post your process if you have not already done so.
Well I used Chrysler Plum Crazy Acrylic Enamel T hat I bought from Colors For Minatures.Hands down the best paint I have ever used on a car model.I primered it as usual with Tamiya Neutral Gray and the paint literally leveled itself.I did use a polishing kit to remove some minor defects and used a little more thinner than usual for the final coat. The paint dried like liquid glass and the results speak for themselves!
That looks really good philo!
Here’s my 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A that I took best Auto of Show with last year:(She’s a 30+ year old restoration that I tackled in late '14 early '15)

Aweome! Is that Tor Red or Hemi Orange?
This is the only car model that I have finished in the past 40+ years. Painted with Testor acrylics (Aluminum & Gun Metal) using crappy Testor white handle brushes and polished using a Squadron polishing stick. Made this while on deployment overseas during down time in 2005.

That looks good stik! Is that 43rd scale or 24/25th scale?
philo: Thank you sir and it’s neither. It’s the molded body color with Testors Ultra Gloss Enamel …from a can.
Looks great!
The next one is a job that I just got finished up with a few months back. I need to tweek a couple of items on it for the next show but I had a lot of fun with this one.
I used Tamiya X-7 Red Acrylic for the base coat, Testors Dark Red enamel for the ghost flames and Testors Gloss Enamel Clear Coat from a can on my Revell '56 Ford F-100:

That’s a good lookin’ build…and a good lookin’ finish. I can see that Honda Logo reflection in the white paint.
Thanks!a polishing kit is a wonderful thing!
Thanks you. It was built very low tech with only the most basic of modeling supplies. It’s Revell Germany 1/24 I believe. Unless they make their F-1s in 1/25. I have one more that I picked up on clearance at the PX there which I never built but still have in my stash.
Yeah it is! This here is the original paint on another 30+ year old resto and polished up with some Novus.

Well…that and knockin’ the dust off. lol
Yes that always helps too!
