Nice to see lots of great models being built on this Forum. I have been working away from home the last few months and got back recently and finished my Post Apocalypse Mustang.
I have posted simalar Vehicles on here before a while back so I thought you Might want a look.
P.s, Ihave had some Server Problems getting back onto the site, Has any one else Struggled ?
Heres the Stang…
these photos are of the Mustang in its Early Phase of Build.
Applying the Armour and Bull bar protection and getting ready for Paint and Weapons.
When I spray My models I always do a black base followed by a light over spray of grey primer,
and adds shadows and depth. the weapons are scratch built from sheet and strip styrene.
When weathering this model, I first gave it a wash of black Ink. and with Games Workshop Paints
I would start the Grimey Weathering process.
And with the With the weathering complete.
Ican now Photograph the Model and Put it in a Diorama.
The Road and Back Drop is card board painted to look like sky with an Airbrush. and the road was sprayed with black grey and white Automotive Spray paint but at a dsitance and very lightly to give a very grainy and patchy Effect to the Road.
The sand scatterd around the road surface is builders sand as its Finer. it was then a case of putting each Photogragh through PHOTOSHOP and getting the desired effects such as lighting,motion blur,heavy shading, surface bluring and headlights on some of the Action Shots.
and in some of these photos I had a bit of play around in Photoshop, trying to give them a more “Graphic Novel feel”
making the photos a lot darker and then Blurring some of the detail out with the airbrushes in photoshop gives them a slight “atmosphere”.
Well thats the Mustang finished, Im going to get with Finishing my HALLOW model and then get on with Building another Post Apocalypse Car.

Very nice idea Barry, and the execution is also top notch. What scale/medium did you use? I like the faded paint a lot and I also like the plow a lot. How did you build the plow? Keep 'em coming, have a nice day

And thanks Pawel. the model is a 1/24 Miasto metal kit of a 67 GT Mustang.
and the Plow is made up from The Tree Sprue you get with all Plastic model Kits, I cut the pieces I need from the Sprue and then Heat them up over a Candle to bend them into the Right shape.
and then glue it all together with plasti weld.

I like the style of your creations and the action photography. Was the origional sketch yours? Its like ‘Road Warrior’ taken to the next level or century. Either way im sure your builds will get a lot of attencion at any model contest. Thanks for shareing your tallent with the community!

How did you make the all the bars? just heat spures with a candel and bend them?

yes all the bars Are made from Sprue heated up and bent to shape over a candle,
nice and easy that way !

Very cool! When I started back into modeling in the mid 90’s one of my first projects was a Lindberg 1/20 Dodge Stealth that was going to take on some bizarre combination of Back to the Future and Road Warrior. That has yet to happen, but the kit is still buried in the stash somewhere, so you never can tell. Looking at yours does make me wonder though if odd things happen when it hits 88 mph?

I Imagine if my Mustang was to get over 88 mph it would tear the road to pieces carrying all that weight ! [:D]
as for digging out old models and restarting them, I have 10 Post Apocalypse modelsn of which half of those are old kits I never really finished and then Alterd them for this Genre.

and not getting to high from the Glue Fumes !
Well I have been getting some fresh air “for a change !”
And have been taking some shots of the Stang and the Other Post Apocalypse Models to try and get a more “Realistic Scene”
Heres how I set it all up…
And here is the set up on Location…
And here is the Final Product.
With the aid of Photoshop I was able to get the Look I wanted…
