Sorry if this has been posted already, but check it out:

Hmm, sounds like there are still some problems with the kit. And it’s got those Dragon Sherman links. [:0]

Still, nice to see them turning to Allied subjects. Can’t wait to read one of your guys building this thing up!

Can’t complain about Dragon, they make more WW2 US kits than just about anyone else.

Wow another great kit by dragon!

I ordered mine the other day. Hopefully it will be in early next week.
Sounds like box is almost impossible to close after you open it.

Just need to sneak it past SWMBO.

I received mine yesterday from GM. It is a super kit and impossible to get back in the box.

UPS just left it on my doorstep!!! What a nice kit. The little problems are easily fixed and all the good stuff far outways these(IMHO)

What kind of tracks are in the box? How’s constructing them shaping up?

Larry, the tracks are the same Dragon Shermans. They have the rubber block and the chevron blocks. Haven’t started on it yet. No one seems to like the tracks but when I did my Firefly I didn’t think they were bad at all.

Thanks for the link. I’m happy to see DML (or any company) releasing Allied kits.

I’m with ya Erik. I see they also have out the M4A1 early and another M4A3. Maybe a M24 or acouple of the TD’s in the future? One can only hope!!!

I just got mine…! What a fanstatic kit! They even have two brass turned cannon rounds… (Very nice.) I’m not sure how I feel about the tracks but AFV T48’s are inexpensive even if they require a lot of cleanup…

More Later,

Hibrass

I have yet to build an WWII Allied vehicle. Would this model be a good start? I figure I can’t go wrong with a Sherman, especially a new Dragon model.

oh, and thanks for the link!

I agree with all here that say it’s nice to see some allied AFVs being produced. As for the Sherman, it sounds great to me, looks like Dragon have another hit on their hands.

Darren

I usually don’t attempt allied armor, but have this kit on order over at GreatModels. Meanwhile I was wondering what Friul track sets would work on this kit. I have no idea.
Friuls make sets for Sherman T-54E1 All Steel, T-51 Rubber Block-Sherman VVSS and T-48 Rubber Chevron-Sherman VVSS. Will any or all three of these sets go with this M4A3 (76) kit?

Help an axis armor guy out!

Glenn

53ryder,

The T48 or T51 would work on it… The T54 would also work… But the T54e1 is usually seen on Commonwealth Shermans… Or at least I haven’t seen many pics of them installed on US Shermans…

Good Luck,

Hibrass

thanks for introducing me to this kit. i was looking for a good sherman to get, and now i think i’ve found one![:D]
