Happy Saturday to everyone… [swg]
I have finally completed the “Playboy” DC-9-30 “Black Bunny” that’s been on the desk for the last nine months! [tup] The first set of decals got messed up, then it was a long time before locating another set, but I didn’t give it up, and now she’s on the shelf! Enjoy! [:)]

Enjoy…
Take care,
Frank
Nice work on the “Bunny”. That 727 is going to be awesome.

[#ditto] That is one sexy DC-9! [swg]
Sweet, Reminded me of the days when mom and dad would take off to the Playboy resort in the Poconos.
You missed to scratch some playboy chicks for that DC-9…
That’s a cool scheme for a airliner, didn’t see it before though.
I can remember seeing it parked at St Louis Lambert International in the Ozark Airlines Maintenence area where it was kept. Somewhere I have pictures or slides of it, those will require a major dig through the archives to find.
I think someone said it was returned to commerical service after Heff got bored and lost interest in aircraft. It could have been sold and refurbished by another company as their corporate jet…maybe a Saudi, they were big into to airliners as biz jets back then. KC Aviation in Appleton use to do a lot of that type of work.
Excellent build, Frank. A large plane in black is harder than one thinks, but you pulled it off nicely.
Thanks everybody! [:)] My son n law wants this one for his mantle, so it’s new home will be Camp Pendleton, Ca
I found out the actual aircraft ended up with AeroMexico… here’s a picture, with description under it.

Beautiful work, oldhooker. I just regret that you omitted the cabin crew, but I suppose that at this scale they would be too tiny to appreciate anyway.
I thought Hef sold her because the cost of fuel was too much for him. I think the Playboy Clubs were losing money at that time.
