Tanky,
I might as well jump on this one too. Hasegawa, 1/72 Mig-17 Fresco.

Darwin, O.F. [alien]

I have a BI-1 coming in the mail (I hope), so put me down as a possible. It’s a prototype Soviet Rocket interceptor. Small kit, so… we’ll see.

Tanky Tanky Tanky Why did you do this to me[:O]OK put me down for a 1/48 Gavia Lavochin LA-5 Flown by that Ivan Kozedub dude[tup]

What kind of time frame do you have in mind? I’d love to jump onboard with this one but have 4 other GBs going on at the moment (although I’m almost done with one of them). If this can be a longer time frame or open ended build then count me in! I’ll build a Italeri Su-34 Attack Flanker 1/72 scale for now!

Sorry about the lack of brand name on the kit!! Still am wondering if the thing will ever arrive, its been the better part of a month since it was supposedly shipped!

I had to drop out of the Mosquito Group build because I could not find the kit…this is a different story…I am in, either a Great Patriotic War Yak or an early Cold War MiG…

Excellent. Time frame VERY large. Won’t start for a couple of months yet I should think. I myself am doing a revell 1/72 Su-27 Flanker. Sexy plane that.

I’d be in if it were fall 2005. Need to see what I have in the stash, which is packed up at the moment for a move…

Getting pretty good attendance for only the second day this build has been proposed.[8D]

Yeah, But Darwin also can crank out some kits![:D] Put me down for a serious maybe. I just got ahold of a Tu-22M with a Russian airfield set (the 1/72 ESCI kit). Should look neat next to my Su T-4 when I get that built![:p]

I’m in Tank. Put me down for the 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-21MF.

Hmmm i’ve already sussed out my Gavia LA-5, not much to it considering the price but the detail is as good as Tamiya or Hasegawa put into thier kits…One thing i’m happy with is the express masks that came with the kit, should save a little masking time[tup]

Six months? Well, then put me down as 99% probable. (My kind of time frame!)

How’s that for a time frame eh?

Those times look great to me. It shouldn’t take my long to get the BI-1 finished.

Just in case nobody has any idea what a BI-1 is, here’s a pic (I like pictures of what I’m doing)

It’s pretty much the same story as the Luftwaffe’s Me 163 Komet- a short-range point defense rocket interceptor. It was plauged by both endurance problems (approx. 15 minute range) and the tendancy to explode. I believe only one operational flight was made (intercepting a flight of German bombers headed to Moscow), but plans to mass produce them never materialized.

I hope to build the 1/72 scale kit of this airplane, a really tiny kit (few inches long) that is apparantly plauged with terrible fit problems. But I’ve got a sander and a bunch of putty, and I’m ready! [;)] The Zwilling should be done by then, so no problems there.

Hmmm Mike thats the first time i’ve ever seen one of those…wouldn’t wanna fly one though[tup]

That time frame fits great with me right now!!! Of course if things change I’ll let you know!!

That time frame is great for me, count me in, aircraft TBD (after I finish moving I’ll figure it out!!!)

Karl, Best of luck on your move! Keep those kits safe! I got 5 claims now because I made the mistake of sending a bunch of kits via USPS. - Calvin

Put me In on a purely provisional basis. No guarantees that I’ve got any soviet Aircraft coming, But If I do, It’s going for this GB. If I get it before 2006. I really want another patch.

So put me down as : Something WWII-ish? Maybe…
