Attended the Planes of Fame 2007 air show, tons and tons of photo ops.
Here are a ton ‘o pics. I went through and got a little bit of everything, all were cropped down and reduced the resolution to 100 ppi.
If you look carefully - the F-86 lost an external fuel tank during the show. It looked weird because the tank appeared to float down and didn’t play dirt dart like you would think would happen. It was during a pass chasing down the Mig-15 at the end of the field. Shortly there after the F-86 landed and didn’t pass in front of the show line, instead headed right off to the museum hangars. In its in flight pic you will notice a tank under each wing, the next pic taken after it landded at the far end of the field is lacking the starboard tank. Probably something that will go unnoticed/mentioned anywhere else.
I am in Fairfield County Conneticut. I am going to keep my eyes peeled and my ears open for the sound of four Rolls Royce Merlins roaring overhead. Hmm sould I bring my camera?
Thanks for the grateful words. My initial guestimate of how crazy I went with the camera was waayyy off. After whittleing away the fuzy or too small subjects and consolidating all three memory cards from two cameras, I am down to 577 pics. Holy cow!
I will post some more once I can get them loaded into photobucket, and this time after a little bit of photo-shopping.
