Cheers Rad…

My favorite is the one Shep Paine did on the B-24 “Lady Be Good”! I can’t find any pics of this online, but i know that this was featured in FSM magazine last year…

here’s one site - http://www.aviationpics.de/military/military.htm

here’s a couple VFC-31 Hornets - http://www.texasmatt.com/hornets/

www.google.com
search for mishap photos or somesuch

As for WWII-ish crash photos, In Action books or such are probably your best bet. Modern crash/mishap photos are readily available usually.

but mainly… google is your friend

On a lighter note, how about this one: (Hehehe…

http://www.airdisaster.com/photosearch/ has lots of stuff on civilian planes. The whole site is well put together and has lots of info, though some may justifiably find some items distressing or distasteful.

Check out the aviation site. Click on 1999 at the bottom of the first page. There is a tape of the 130 landing trials on the Forrestal. I worked on that a/c a couple years later on Okinawa.

Here’s a small sample of what I’ve got along these lines:

A-26 Invader - I’m not sure but this may have taken place in California after the war.

A-20 Havoc - This is a Russian bird lost on landing. The crew survived. (For more way-cool & groovy shots of Ruskie A-20’s, please visit a site run by a pal of mine: Lend-Lease on www .airforce.ru. This site is dedicated to Russian lend-lease during WWII.)

B-17 Flying Fortress - These are all 100th BG Forts; the first shot was a taxi accident during a shuttle mission to Russia. The other two show another ‘slight’ mishap!

Fade to Black…

Being an aviation kid (dad and brother pilots, sister going to be a hostess, stepmum handeling agent, stepbrother ground tech, myself aircraft engineering), I try to avoid that stuff… But never the less those are good sites to check out.

Found another, this time from the tussle in Vietnam…

F-4 Phantom - This was at Ubon, and the jet is from the 433rd TFS. I’m not sure where I found this, could have been the Phantom’s Lair. In any event, if you like F-4’s, check this site out.

Fade to Black…

cheers guy some helpful information there
cheers Rad

hi Folks. try this site for crash pics. http://aviation-safety.net . Greg

I usually search aviation archaeology for these types of pics.A good site that I’ve found is www.airpirates.com for WW II era aircraft. Most pics are taken modern day.Another good one is the AAIR home page. You’ll need to search for that one as I don’t have the url handy.Good luck with your search.I have some good pics but I can’t figure out how to attach them.
