I picked up the Calibre 35 planatary gear for a Tam Marder III a few years back, I’m thinking I want to finally build the darn thing (maybe). Anyway what color was the gear housing painted? Would it have been left in bare metal? primer? some other color? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Looking at a color shot of a restored Hetzer interior, plus a few others,has them painted a dark, bluish gray, very similar to Panzer Gray, but not quite as dark. There is also a green-gray color common in Pz 38(t) based vehicle interiors, as this engine bulkhead appears in a Hetzer at Kubinka;
The interior shots I have of a Marder III M at Saumur, while they don’t show the housings directly, have the entire interior painted in this gray-green.
I need to dig around to see if I have any other color photos of these.
