I finally have gotten to the stage where I may be spraying some paint on this 4 month long project ( not constantly working on it , but when I had some time ) , there are just a few more small details to go on her before I do paint . This has been one challenging build to say the least , the PE parts are so tiny in some cases ,you have to take a time out from it to keep from tossing the whole critter out the window , luckily in my years , I have learned when to just walk away and kool down! It will be getting sprayed panzergrey soon , I will post more progress pix soon after . Comments welcome as always .
Looks great! That looks like a lot of photo etch. Your patience is greater than mine! When you paint it, make sure to post some updated pics

Btw, that looks like a Dragon Stug III G in the background of the first pick…how are you liking that kit?
I can’t sympathize on the PE…yet but it looks very good to me.

Wbill … the stug kit is the usual DML greatness , has PE and metal barrel in the kit , they are only getting better , every kit I do of thiers appears to be an improvement on the last . I cannot knock Tamiya though , they do some excellent kits as well , Panther G late is my next after the Stug build .
Nice job! I always wondered about this and I know it has been brought up before but do you find building it then trying to paint all that detail is easier than building and paint in sections? Excellent detail and looking forward to seeing it finished.

Ty to all , this has been one bear of a project , I am so glad to finally paint it ! JKeller I always paint after all details have been installed, a piece or 10 may come off during that but nothing that cannot be fixed , I do however paint trax seperate , then reinstall , they are only on here for a test fit to check for correct sag ( which one side is too tight right now ) the idler wheels are also not on yet , I want to paint those seperate as well as the large wheels which are only superglued in place as of now , so its time to spray it all black , then panzergrey , and then the real fun begins with weathering !

awesome job on the marder. I’ve built one too. likin the PE job u got on it. you had N E trouble on the PE fenders BTW?? did u pu them on last or what?? that’s wut I shoulda done, on another kit I’m on now. NE way, sweet buld man!!

looking realy good spector with all that small stuff [bow] , i guess it’s the marder III from tamiya no.248 (sd.kfz.139 7.62cm pak36 auf gw.38(t) also have that one sitting on the shelf [:D] still did not started yet (been working on the normandy groupbuild) don’t think there were any fitproblems? let us enjoy your progress [:p]

Looks great Spector. It’s a shame to hide all that work under a coat of paint. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
Superior build spector. It looks like you used at least 3/4 of the fret for the baby! The fruil tracks look awesome and I would love to see a few more upclose pics. Try and get some light blue poster board for the background when taking some pics so that awesome detail can stand out in the photos. Again, awesome build and really look forward to seeing some more pics during the painting and weathering phases!!
