I was looking for something a little simpler to work on before tackling my next project; so here’s Revell’s 1/32 scale 1959 Cadillac El Dorado convertible. This was a fun distraction!!! I think this model was made for a type of motor though. This kit was good for Bare Metal Foil practice too.

Man, that just looks like a fun build and even with all of your detailing I’d imagine the 1/32 gem went together pretty quickly?

I’ll see what I can do! And, yeah, it didn’t take too long to build altogether; most of it was in the painting/ foiling. I think actual assembly was a couple hours or so!
Nice, i saw a T-bird the same colour floating round town the other day. Lady in the pasanger seat looked about a million years older than god lol.

the 1/25 monogram caddy i drilled out the grille by grinding off the back of it to open it up. would that work for this kit?

I gotta build me one of those! Many years ago, I owned a 1960 red Cadillac convertible, (a real one) almost identical to the '59 except the tail fins were a bit more subdued. Building that kit would bring back some great memories- they don’t make 'em like that any more!
Thanks for all the great comments! The paint is Tamiya TS-59 Pearl Light Red; right out of the can. I bought it by accident, thinking it was more red; but it really works with this kit!!! I’ve now found the 1/24th version and I’m thinking of making it the same way!
