Pilot figures

Hi guys

I’m a beginning modeler, mostly modern aircraft. I was just wondering if any of you know of a manufacturer who make 1/48 pilot figures for modern military aircraft. I’m looking for sitting pilots so I can place them in the cockpit. Some kits I have supply pilots but most of them look like a lump of platic with a head stuck on them. I’ve seen a set from Hasegawa but they are the same pilots I have in the F14A from Hasegawa, they look good but are exactly the same as in the kit I already build. I would like some other options then the Hasegawa pilots because I like to have a pilot in the cockpit and would really like a nice detailed one instead plastic blobs.

Verlinden figures come to mind considering that I’m staring at one of their adds at the top of this page, they have a good selection of 1/48th figures. You can go to Squadron mail order or Great Models and run a search on their site and see what comes up.

They have a lot of pilots in 1/48th scale specifically by the manufacturer CMK. You can also check out Andrea Miniatures

They have some great pilots in this scale cast in white metal. They are a little pricier but well worth it as the detail is phenomenal.

Thanks for the help and links, I found some very interesting figures for my future models. The time of the flying plastic blobs has come to an end :smiley:

I also found this company which has some nice sitting pilot figures in 1/48
