This is my first post here, although I’ve been a FSM fanatic reader for many years [:)]
Here is a short introduction to my current project: a huge 1/144 scale A380, with some personal enhancements:

  • illuminated, scratch-built cockpit
  • illuminated cabin lights
  • powerful landing lights
  • carrier flag lights
  • brass landing gear
    and much more.

Great work in such a small scale (or any other scale, for that matter !) How did you do the instruments in the cockpit? I like the inclusion of the match with the landing gear to give an idea of scale. Well done !

After viewing these pics and those of Pierre’s F-4 , I think I just may toss out all my kits, paints, reference books, ect. and kick the dog. Didn’t think one could buy a strobe light that small, any one know where can I pick some up at?

What an incredible display of talent! Fiber optics, resin casting (or so it appears), metal working, and electronics!

Thanks for the compliments. I love them [:)] To give a quick answer to some of the questions:

  • yes, I used fibre optics.
  • the strobe diode is regular stuff that can be found in any electronics store
    As for the Phantom, I might contribute with a “how-t” article in FSM, about the fibre-optic stuff.
    How do you feel about the idea?
