I am attempting to post pictures of a 72nd scale B-29, (Academy kit) that was called Goin’ Jessie. I worked off and on for almost a year on this. The model itself is probably not that great, nor the photography. I made all of the decals except for the national insignia and the markings on the big dorsil fin. I even redid the “no smoking within 100 ft” on the nose gear door to make it more to scale. I have looked at picture of this plane in the office where I work for years, and just had to build it. It belonged to the same group as “Anola Gay” (ninth bombing group). You can find out more about this plane by contacting one of the surviving members of the crew; Charles Chauncey goinjessie@juno.com. Hope the pictures came through.
Pics came through fine…good thing too, because otherwise I would have missed seeing the fantastic job you did with that kit. Very nice work indeed, and the decals look great! [tup]
You had a problem with the first two URLs. If I may help…
Looks good from here.

That is really amazing. I’ve wanted to pick up a 1/72 B-29 for a while now, but other projects keep getting in the way. Let me tell you that you did a really awesome job, and the photos are just fine (much better than others I’ve seen, mine included!).
My only criticism would be around the canopy, that the glue joint looks a little funky. I know that the metal finish only makes minor (read- MINOR) imperfections like this look that much worse, and I really can only tell it’s there in that one shot. Everything else (the engine detail, noteably) looks simple stellar.
Keep up the good work!!
There’s the other two pictures!! Thanks alot. Almost got it right!
No need to apologize for that model or its photos. Simply super!
Nice looking Superfort m8. [tup]
