Thanks for the link. I’m doing the Airfix TSR.2 now. Here’s a question: Since there is a TSR.2, what was the TSR.1? I don’t know.

No I can’t because I was asking a question. It had occurred to me that there must at least have been a design study or project that used the TSR.1 number, but I don’t know what it might have been. I was hoping someone would read the thread and enlighten us.

Take a look at this link for some interesting history.
TSR.2 was BAC’s name for the plane, which stood for Tactical Support (later Strike) and Reconaissance, with the 2 standing for Mach 2. There wasn’t a TSR.1, though once you read the history you’ll see that what lead to BAC and the TSR.2 was influenced by several companies, pre-existing spefications from the MoD and so forth. Complicated but very interesting history.
