pics of my sons F4U-1

Hey there all,

These are pictures of my sons F4U-1 in 1/72 scale. I know the paint isnt quite to government specs, but he does good for a 2 year old. My wife and I help him assemble the models, he paints them on his own, then one of us help him soak the decals and he places them on his own. I am very proud of him for the patience and time he spends on his models. Well here are some pics…

I hope you all enjoy the pics as much as he enjoys stickin plastic together [:D].
Happy new year

Jim

great job, man I love the colors. You must be a michigan fan. He looks like he is going to make a fine master modeller one day!

Well, who says an F4U always have to be in that boring blue. This looks great, finally somebody who dares to do something different than what regulation say.
Well done.

Attaboy!

The next generaton of master modelers right there![:D]
Happy new year to you Jim, & son!

-looks better than some of my early attempts already![;)]

Start em young, that’s my motto. Sounds like your headed in the right direction. Good luck to you.

Fantastic work for a 2 year old. Really great to see kids getting an early start & the encouragement from Dad & Mom. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Two years old, huh? I don’t recall what my hobby was when I was two… I was probably being a PITA for my parents and sisters… [:p]

Hopefully your son is now a part of the future of this fine hobby, so kudos to not only him, but to you and your wife as well!

Fade to Black…

Outstanding! [:D] Finger paints and models are not a combination I would have predicted, but ya gotta go with whatever works. He should be winning contests before he is in first grade. Congratulations to you and Mom, keept up the good work. [alien]

hehehe. when i was 2, (man that was 12 years ago!!! LOL.) i just watched my dad put together some models. (does that make me a generation 1.5 modeler?) It’s really good that he does so much on his own and he’s only 2!!! I didn’t start seriously until I was 13. (LOL. that’s just a year and ago.) Tgat’s when I got my first airbrush. An aztec… ehich now resides in a drawer paying tribute to my 155 anthem.

Very artistic work!

looks like hes ready to learn how to weather… Way to go teaching em young

There’s a government job in camouflage development awaiting him when he get’s older. I love that paint job!!! I wouldn’t be surprised if there actually was a weathered Corsair that looked like that at one time. I hope that he retains his modeling desires when he gets older. Way to go, mom and dad!!!
