Pics of my finished Polikarpov's I-16 Type 24 Fighter

Hello all,

I just finished my Polikarpov’s I-16 Type 24 Fighter and wanted to share the results with everyone.

Just a note I used that EZ Line for the antenna and it works great. [:D]
I purchased the charcoal .003 sample from Bobe’s Hobby House http://www.bobeshobbyhouse.com/ezl.html.

I think I’m going to purchase the 100 ft. pack, should last me oh about a hundred years. [(-D]

Well enough of that on to the pics…[8D]

Thanks again for looking.

Cheers
Thom

Nice job!

Nice little build. It appears to be 1/72, but which kit is it ?

Regards, Rick

Good looking build Thom

Thanks Anthony14, ua0124 and Rick.

Rick it is the ICM 1/72 kit, with the ACE and ExtraTech PE, and some scratch built goodies.

That’s teeny! Nice work…

Such a great job on such a wee thing, thanks for the veiw…

Great looking “Fly”… very nice work.

Thom, the Rata looks great, and so tiny.

Having said that I built Hobbycraft’s 1/48 kit, and it wasn’t much bigger than a 1/72 Fw190!!

Karl

Nice job.

Neat little airplane! I really like the color scheme.

Nice job, tlivancso !

The exhausts, cowling doors, and canopy framing are very well done for such a small kit.

Clean build, looks great!

Thank you everyone for your kind words.

It was a fun little build, the ICM kit goes together very well, as long as I did not ham hand it at times [:p]

Karl, I have two of the Hobbycraft 1/48th kits the Type 10 and the Type 18, going to superdetail them and I also purchased the NeOmega 1/48th Type 24 Resin kit only so I could steal the pit and put it into the Hobbycraft one. [:0]

Well back to glueing pieces to body parts.

Cheers
Thom

Nice work!

Great job on the I-16. Bryan

really nice, I love that plane.

Great work, Thom. Very cool.

I really like these… how to be diplomatic… um, non-sveldt planes. Like the Brewster Buffalo.

Keep up the excellent modeling.

Take care,

Mark

Very nice indeed. Keep it up.

Great job!!
