Ive got round to uploading pics of my two latest models, an Italeri King Tiger and Dragon Challenger 2, both in 1/72 scale. These represent my first attempt at freehand spraying of multi colour camouflage schemes.
Very nice and clean looking builds… Might need a bit of mud 'n dust, but not everyone builds that way (and to be honest, I’ve only started to do that as intensively as on my own Challenger…) Very tight looking camo, especially on the King Tiger.
Michealvk, i agree that a bit of dust and mud would make the models more realistic, and its something I plan to try in later builds. Im not much of an artist though so I need to choose models that I have plenty of reference photos for, something that wasnt the case with these two.
Good looking 1/72 models! The freehand camo looks really good! I know your colors were tan, red and green but what tamiya #'s are those? I have a 1/76 king tiger in the queue right now.
Excellent stuff! Anyone who builds in Braille Scale must be completely insane or very talented…from the looks of your work, I’d say it’s the latter (but there must be at least a little of the former thrown in, as well!)
