Hi guys! this is my special hobby IA58 Pucara.
this is one of my first models after a long time away from the hobby. The kit is very good whit exelent datails, and a few problems typical of limited run kits.
ahh the canopy was broken so i wrote to specail hobby and they will sendme a new one.

What colors did you use for the camo? Just wondering so when I go to do mine I have an idea of what colors to think about using.

Hi! mmmmm i can´t say the exact colors because I mixed those colors to match a pictures that i saw (and I´m not very happy whit the results)… anyway the colors recomendations in the kits aren´t right.
the argentiean plane in those times don´t have a standard colors system so the colors shades is not the same in diferents planes. in the malvinas war the argentinean pucaras were painted in green, brown and light blue (undersides) camouflage, but from very light shades to more darker colors…
a few aicraft send to the island were in bare metal ( This is acording to the kit´s instrucion I never saw a pics of one of this birds in aluminum colors)
the FAA (argentinean air force) pucara´s are paintd nowdays in gray sheme ( I saw the planes serveral times -the aiport is near my house-)

Very nice build. The camo painting is very good. Shame about the canopy, hope the replacement is OK.
It came out looking great. Hope you post more pictures when you receive and install the new canopy!

It is very nice to see an uncommon plane in the forums. Excellent camouflage work, and that cockpit, in 1/72…chapeau!
