This is a great post… a lot of great visuals for detailing and weathering your builds.
I know that this will probably sound weird but these photos have got me so fired up about my modeling plans and have given me so many weathering ideas! I wonder how many times Tim has been stopped and questioned why he’s taking pictures of this “junk”?
LOL… I completely agree with you Tom. I’m very motivated to work on my weathering techniques now.
Tom, that is amazing to hear! That’s exactly what these references are for. I do get some weird looks sometimes, but no one stops me or asks what I’m doing. I’m out and about a lot, so if I decide to stop somewhere that catches my eye, I usually take enough photos for multiple posts. All of these posts from Delavan were taken when I was in the town and decided to take a walk around because it has some interesting textures that could really help build story in a vignette or diorama. I happened on that tractor at the same time. I’ll just keep building the library, and hopefully others will keep helping build it, too.

Tim, thanks again for all of these great photos to inspire us in our modeling weathering endeavors. I also know that now I want to visit Delevan, WI!!
You can visit there after the fish and chips run
Perhaps Delevan has an authentic English pub where I can finally get my fish & chips with a Guinness to drink.
Can you guys please stop with the fish n’ chips. You’re making me hungry.
