Since I am a new member to the forums, but not to the hobby, I thought I would share an example of one of my original sculpts for the membership. I am a commercial illustrator by trade, and like to sculpt my own figures from scratch using Sculpy, Epoxy putty, metal, wire, plastic card etc.
This example is about 120mm in scale. Sorry for the medicore to poor picture quality, but I am in need of a new, higher pixel digital camera. Clicking on the photos will show slighty better resolution.
[bow] Outstanding piece of work there Michael. I truly admire those who can sculpture figures, they make it look so easy which I’m sure is not the case. Hope to see more photo’s of your work in the forums.
Here is another figure, this time a conversion of a commercial one, the Verlinden Waterloo Gordon Highlander. I heavily converted this figure to that of a 93rd Sutherland Highlander in the Crimea C. 1854.
Another fine looking figure there Mike. Been awhile since I last work on figure kits but I just received a 90mm Templar Sgt figure from Pegaso which I will start on after I complete a couple other projects.
Thanks for the kind words everyone, please DO keep them coming![dinner]
I obviously need to get a better camera to do any of my models justice, as this one not only doesn’t have the resolution capabilities, but is also distorting the proportions a bit too (not to mention it’s operator [;)])
