ok still trying to upload photos. if i go to photobucket { thay i dont use anymore} i can upload a photo . ive been using shutterfly i cant figure out how to get the web address for a photo, i have also tried flickr same problem. I just wish FSM would make it easier to upload photos from my comp or ipad
For Flickr, click on ‘Copy photo location’ (or however they phrase it), then on your FSM post click on the ‘Insert/edit image’ icon and paste it in. Your photo should appear in your thread box…then hit the ‘jump a line’ button and continue your post.
Now I could be wrong here, but I have been storing my photos on Shutterfly for years, they are a great storage site, and I even use them to make an occasional print or coaster or something, but I don’t think they are a photo sharing site, at least I could never find links for my pictures.
I get nothing. This is what I coppied from flickr

You have to open the desired image separately, selecting the size you want to use. Then copy the location, and paste it into FSM.
i use Fotki
I opened link above. To the right of the photo, there are : Star, Share {Arrow}, Download.
Click on Share, then on Share, Embed, BBCode, Choose Size of pic & EMBED and Copy the code,
OR BBCODE (slightly different code)
Untitled by Fred Palermo, on Flickr
Within this Sites’ post editor, click on the bottom row, 5th left {panorama pic} icon [Insert/Edit image]
Within this example, the Embed Img is more cleanly presented, though the pics & labels tend to wander about the page when editing.
I host my clubs’ web page [URL link, left], & If I want to post here, I open the pic on a seperate page, then Insert/Edit Image as above.

Try postimage.org. I really like it after using Photobucket- it is faster and more convenient.
For other help with posting images, be sure to check periodically with the Forum Technical Help forum down in the list of FSM forums.
This is friggen rediculess to go through all this just to post a picture
I agree with you vett , but if you do use postimage , make sure to hit direct link to copy .
This seems to be a constant problem for those who use a phone or tablet versus a laptop or a PC. I use my phone for just that…as a phone or to take an occasional picture. When selecting a photohosting site, search for them and compare features for each before you pick one. It might help you in the long run.
I use Imageshack for all of my photos, and you can click the menu box next to any of your photos and it will have a “get image sizes or links” button right at the top. If you click on that button, it gives you a box which lets you pick what kind of link you want (I use the “forum” link type) and also lets you pick either a full-size photo, or a thumbnail of various sizes. I usually pick the 280X200 thumbnail option to conserve forum bandwidth, while giving anyone interested in the photo the ability to click on it and have blow up to full size. Just paste the resulting link into the body of your text, and there you go. [:D]
I’m with Mr. Mike. I use my phone as a phone mostly, except for taking quick pictures of equipment and wiring for my job where quality and clarity aren’t all that important. For taking pics of models, I use a Nikon D90, and do all of my uploading of photos from my laptop.
